Tiger Circles is about your family's faith traditions and being kind. You'll talk about holidays you celebrate, attend a service or gathering, and do something kind for another person. It's a chance to share what your family values.
Why it's worth it
Families celebrate in many different ways: with special foods, songs, quiet times, and gatherings. Tiger Circles is a chance to learn about the holidays and beliefs that matter to your family and to share kindness with someone else. You'll find out more about where you come from and how being kind connects you with the people around you.
Start this week
- Ask your grown-up to tell you about three holidays your family celebrates.
- Find a photo, a decoration, or a favorite food from one of those holidays.
- Think of someone who could use a smile this week, and plan a kind surprise for them.

Every official requirement and part, numbered to match Scouting America, in plain language. Sign off against the official wording (opens in a new tab).
Note: This adventure can also be earned by completing a religious emblem of the family's choice instead of these requirements
- Requirement 1
Talk with your parent or legal guardian about your family's faith traditions; name three of its holidays or celebrations and draw your favorite
Tip: Ask your family to name three holidays you celebrate, then draw the one you like best.
For example: Your family names three holidays you celebrate. You draw your favorite, maybe the special meal, the lights, or visiting relatives, and tell your adult why it's the best one.
- Requirement 2
Go with your family to a religious service, or another gathering where your family shows its Family & Reverence
Tip: Attend a service or gathering with your family and talk afterward about what you noticed.
For example: Go with your family to a service, prayer time, or gathering that fits your family's beliefs. Afterward, talk about one thing that felt special, like a song, a story, or a quiet moment.
- Requirement 3
Do an act of kindness
Tip: Do something kind, like making a card for a neighbor or helping a sibling without being asked.
For example: Kindness could be making a card for a neighbor, helping a younger sibling get dressed, sharing your snack, or drawing a picture for a friend who's sad.
Talk about it together
- Which family holiday is your favorite, and what makes it special?
- What did you notice at the service or gathering?
- How did the person feel after your act of kindness?
- How can you be kind to someone whose family celebrates different holidays than yours?
